The Journey of the Token Transmasculine Character in "Fallout"

As we know, thanks to the smashing success of the Woke Mind Virus, Hollywood is now legally required to provide transgender representation in all movies and television shows, and – by doing so – has ended transphobia. Unfortunately, the sheer number of inspiring trans characters has become so great that our community cannot keep up with them, or thank the cis creators in question.

Case in point: In the spring of 2024, Amazon Prime Video premiered Fallout, Jonathan Nolan’s adaptation of the video game series. In the winter of 2025, I watched Fallout, and became aware that it has a transmasculine character.

This is their story. 

ACT I

CISGENDER MAIN CHARACTER (hereinafter "CMC"): Well-met, fellow apocalyptic space soldier — and not for the first time. 

TOKEN TRANSMASCULINE CHARACTER (hereinafter "the TRAN"): Because we know each other. 

CMC: We do indeed! We share a deep comraderie, based on our many past adventures. 

TRAN: Will we see these adventures on-screen, perchance?

CMC: We will not! 

[Time PASSES.] 

TRAN: Aaaaaggghhh!!!! I’ve been dramatically injured! 

CMC: Oh, dear. 

TRAN: You must go have adventures without me! Preferably for a minimum of six episodes, in which I am not seen or mentioned! 

CMC: In the name of our long and meaningful friendship, I promise to act as if you were never born.
